The story behind the children’s playhouse

I Thomas Schlerf, by profession a civil engineer, had for about 15 years wished to build a playhouse for my children Lukas and Amelie. By watching the Swedish children’s TV show Pippi Langstrumpf, with the beloved characters Michel and Mathilda from Lönneberga, I was
inspired by the style of the beautiful Swedish houses. No sooner said than done! I set out to work on planning and building a little Swedish house for my children. The cottage turned out great! It stood in our garden and was admired again and again by passersby, until one day
one of them encouraged me to market the cottage, so that everyone could build it. Thereupon, I developed a building instruction, which should make it possible for everyone to build this beautiful little house. The sales ran at the beginning exclusively over e-bay. The feedback was great (see excerpt from the reviews) and for many children a great wish certainly came true. 

As a result, I decided to have my own website created to make the purchase even easier for the customer. I took a partner on board for this. The “old” website through which the sale then ran for several years, was unfortunately registered in the name of the former partner (we have separated again at the end of 2020) and is no longer available to me. He now uses this for his own sales purposes.

In the sense of a thus necessary “new start” the construction manual was now “retreaded” and further perfected. I also decided to take my now grown-up children on board and found the “Build-at-home GbR”. In addition to the playhouse building instructions, other similarly designed building instructions are to be successively developed, which will make it possible for everyone to build great things at home.
